This pair of earrings is part of a distinctive range of lightweight and tactile jewellery.
The pieces begin as bits of wet black porcelain clay which are carefully shaped by hand and high fired twice to achieve a stunning black matt finish.
The porcelain is then hand painted with 22K gold lustre or fine silver paste and fired once more.
This is the last firing process before the beads are finally assembled into a piece of jewellery.
Because individually hand sculpted, each piece is slightly different in design, form and size contributing to its unicity and beauty.
